African people embraced their culture and traditions more than anything most especially the yoruba especially the Ijebu people of which ikorodu is part of them. There is no how we mention Ijebu we won't mention Ikorodu.
According to Wikipedia.Org; "Ikorodu is the 12 largest city in Nigeria".
The city is designed for population, companies, schools, and celebrations such as Eluku Festival, Oga Festival, and more. The most celebrated festival in the Ikorodu area of Lagos, which attracts millions of people annually is "IKORODU OGA".
The purpose of Ikorodu Oga festive is to promote culture, tradition, Unity, and Progress and also to welcome the ikorodu indigenes in the diaspora.

It was a massive and fantastic celebration on the 12th of November, 2022 around 11 am in Ikorodu as both young, and old, and dignitaries came out to celebrate OGA 2022.
The turnup was much more entertaining as over 500people came out to celebrate their powerful hunter who killed an elephant in the land of Ikorodu. They also pay a visit to the king's palace with honour, respect, music and dance.
The celebration was outstanding as different ladies and old women with wrappers, and men on danshiki with swords went to Ikorodu garage to pay their yearly visit to the Statue at Ikorodu Garage Roundabout named " THE OGA".
The Oga was said to be a powerful hunter who understand the language of all animals. It was said that powerful hunters killed different animals such as Lions, Fox and also in the year 1963 he killed an Elephant in Ikorodu. His love and powerful being makes the entire ikorodu indigene see him as DEITY and named him "OGA". Every year all ikorodu peoples; Market women, Idol worshippers, dignitaries, and the king pays the LEGEND a visit and bow at his STATUE for his contribution to the land of IKORODU.

The impact of OGA made the entire city build a work of art for his remembrance which was structured & constructed by Snr. Evangelist Samuel Omobowale Oduyebo who was the Grandson of Balogun Oduyebo of Itunmeko, Ikorodu, and Son of Late Ashafa Oduyebo, an old Salvation Army School Teacher and Headmaster, was among the Leaders that brought Salvation Army Church to Ikorodu.
The Ikorodu King; Oba Kabiru Adewale Shotobi the Ayangburen of Ikorodu welcomes everyone to Oga Celebration and showers his prayer of blessings upon wishing them a fruitful year at his Palace.
