YORUBA OFADA RICE

    Ofada rice is a local Yoruba food mostly eaten in ijebu,  ogun state in Owode local government area. Rice is an indigenous local rice grown in southwest areas of Nigeria.

   The local rice was introduced by the missionary in the year 1850-1970 ,Ofada rice is now eaten by all yoruba tribes, especially during yoruba parties,The local ofada rice can be combined with sauce which is combination of green peppers and orisirisi(Assorted meats).

  Ofada is a nutritious rice categorized under wild rice because it consists of high fiber,lowers digestion smooth, and lowers cholesterol in the body.
