The secret behind the powerful staff is not known till date as no one can tell where the powerful son of Ogun is hidden till date with his horse.
There are a lot of powerful human beings who later became deities due to the love they have for their people and land of which Oramiyan is One. The staff of the great son of Yoruba is an evidence till date.
Oranmiyan staff, commonly called Opa Oranyan is a long staff erected at Mopa, Arubidi road, Oroto street in Osun State.
The staff which is about 6 metres long was said to be a walking and powerful staff for Oranmiyan.
He was a giant who fought a lot of war for the people of Ile-Ife. Oranmiyan comes with full force destroying everything he comes across whenever he is at the war front.
There was a time he was summoned as usual he came in a storm, he unleashed so much power that he ended up killing some of the ife warriors, unfortunately, one of them happened to be his close friend.
Oranmiyan was so displeased with himself, he plunged his staff on the ground where it turned into stone instantly and ran into the forest with his horse and never returned nor seen till date.
After he left he became a deity to the people of Yorubas.
